Hello and welcome to Real Talk and a slice of Cake with me, Emma, and my business bestie Leanne. Today we wanna take up a little bit of your time to talk to you about our biweekly drop-in sessions, the free sessions we call them. Don't ask Google, ask us, and we wanna talk to you about why we set them up, the benefits of you coming along to these sessions.
And we're gonna talk a little bit about the structure as well. So, Leanne. Let's dive in. Tell us why we set these sessions up. So, yeah, I'm really excited about these sessions, so, and I wish there'd been something like this when I was starting out. So we've set these sessions up for. Those people who I guess are stuck have got questions, have got nobody to ask, other than the partner who just says, yeah, thinks everything's a good idea, or maybe doesn't think anything's a good idea.
It's for those people that maybe are a little bit lost, feeling overwhelmed and just want somebody that they can ask a business question too that isn't no question's, a silly question, and it's, it's, it's to just to really help people to. Move forward, get, can you get unstuck? But you know what I mean?
Yeah. Why not? Let's get un unstuck. Those, those, can I just, can I pick your brains? Have you got a minute? Those questions that I know coming out of the corporate world, you know, we had help desk for everything. We had an IT help desk. No, I am not. I will just caveat this with Emma. We're not an IT help desk, but I guess we are, we've got a lot of knowledge between us on the different systems and and things out there.
So don't be put off by if it is an IT question, but you know, we'll, we'll help you through that. But all the different help desks or the colleagues kind of just bounce an idea. What do you think of this? This is an opportunity for people to come and ask us. Exactly that. And I think, I think when you, when you first start your business, I certainly remember like years and years and years ago when I first started my first business, the first thing you start to do is you start to Google, you start to do your research.
It might be books, it might be podcasts, it might be literal Google searches. Nowadays it'll be ai, but you're gonna be asking your lovely AI companion to help you with this stuff. But what it tends to throw back at you is the answer to your question. But on the back of that, it's created another question because Google can only answer one question.
It can't answer that question with the, and if this happens, or maybe or, and then you'll need to do this afterwards. So it's only one question. And also, Leanne, I know you came across this with an funny enough tech again. It's great knowing, Googling if you know what you're actually Googling. Yeah. But quite often you don't know what things are, so how can you Google something you don't understand?
You end up asking it a really random question that it, it doesn't quite understand. So I think it's, these sessions are conversational with real human beings with a lot of experience between us in lots of different industries, in lots of different fields, either from our own businesses or from those of our clients.
So we can. There shouldn't be a what if at the end of it there shouldn't be a, you know, another question at the end of it. 'cause we can make sure that you've got the full picture rather than just one question that's led to another question that's led to another question, and I'm now waffling a little bit now, but I think that's important to get across, isn't it?
Definitely, I mean, I, I kind of look at these that I want to leave people in a better place than we found them. If you can put that into the context of, of this. So really leave, you know, giving people that fire in the belly, motivating them to be able to think, yes, you know, I've now, no, I need to do this a step by step.
This, and then this, and then this, and actually then there's gonna be another session in two weeks time. So when you're at that next stage, if you need a little bit of help. So it's, it's really, really is about helping people to move forward. And as you said, Emma, you know, I mean, I always think, you know, it's like having 60 tabs open, you know, an internet browser in, in your mind, and you can go down so many rabbit holes, which lead to worm holes and just like, and then you get to the point of like, oh, I'm not gonna just, I'm just not gonna do this because I just cannot do it.
So, and that's the black hole, isn't it? That that isly that is the final black hole. Yeah. And you know, we, we all get inside our heads. We all have the. Capacity to overcomplicate. Everything. And then, as I say, not actually moving forward. So the benefit for me, it's just, you know, I, I love it and I, I love, we both love meeting people.
We love helping people. And I'm a firm believer in, in. Paying it forward. You know, I, I've got to where I, I am because of the people that have supported me and who have wanted me to be a success. So for me, this is just a beautiful space. There's no catch. I know when people think, oh, it's free. There's, there's no, it's not.
Come and listen to us for an hour and we're gonna try and sell you something at the end. This is a genuine to look at us now. Lovely, kind hearted. We are, we, we genuinely want to see people win, and so it, for me, it's an absolute no brainer. It's an hour, it's an hour session. You don't have to stay for the hour.
You can come, you know, suck our blood, dry, get all the information out of us, and then leave, or actually there's gonna be other people on the call and you can learn from them and, and where they are in, in, in their journey as well. I think that's an important thing, isn't it sometimes. Mm-hmm. That you know, when you hear other people talk through their questions, quite often that answers other questions that you may have that you perhaps didn't realize you'd got even yet.
You know, sometimes it helps you to answer the un answer doesn't. It helps you to do, you know, to do some of that stuff. So definitely do come along and join us. As Leanne says, there is no pitch in this. There is no, this isn't us talking to you. This is you telling us what your problems are and us helping you to find that right solution for you.
It's, it's bespoke. It's one, it's not one-to-one. It's technically one to two, isn't it? You asked the question. Mm-hmm. You've got two absolute experience strategies there to, to help guide you, you know, with that resolution. And we are definitely not there to pitch to you. That is not what these sessions are about.
So as we said right at the very, very beginning, they are free. There is absolutely no cost or no strings attached to this. The only thing you have to do is register, um, and we'll share the link in the show notes for you to register. We host them every Wednesday at half past 12. Um, they're on Zoom. Um, so it's literally everybody can just jump into the Zoom session and join us for the hour.
As Leanne says, you can dip in and out. If you've just got 10 minutes to come and throw your question in, that is absolutely fine too. Is there anything else logistically that we wanted to, to get across, or have we covered everything, do you think? I think we've covered everything. I just want to just add in that actually when we say just jump on a zoom, that can be massive for some people and I want to, what you are seeing if you're watching this on YouTube or hearing or if you follow us on our socials.
This is what you get. Th this, this is us. There's, there's no. If you want to send us a message beforehand and have an email backwards and forwards, just to give that reassurance. And I know some people that may say, well, it's just a zoom, but actually it's not just a zoom. If you, if, if you are so passionate about, you know, you know, you can make your business a success, but you're just, I know what it's like to feel completely stuck or to be going round in circles.
And so I just wanted to, just to add, add that, that, think about what you want to get out of that session. The, the more prepared you can be. Bring a list of questions. And then, you know, we will, we will welcome you with, with love and fun and it no questions. A silly question. And bring some cake. We love cake, don't we, Emma?
Oh yeah. Bring cake. We'll be friends for life. Although exactly can't eat cake, although we won't be able to share it. I share a cake. Yeah, no. We'll, we'll bring our own cake. We will absolutely bring our own cake. Yeah. They are super informal sessions. They're, they're not, you know, rigid set in stone type things.
You know, we, we go with the flow, we move in, in whatever we need to, to move with. We are both very good at reading people. So, you know, if we can see somebody is struggling, we will, we will literally wrap our arms virtually around you, uh, you know, and make sure you feel safe and comfortable to ask your question.
So yeah, definitely it, it, it's never just, is it. It's never just, never just, no. Right. We're gonna drop the details in the show notes. We would absolutely love to see you at the next session that every other Wednesday at half past 12, when you sign up, it will tell you when the next session is, and you then you'll get a reminder every fortnight so you can come along to those sessions.
